What is a library of things?

It’s just like a book library but for the things that you don’t use very often, don’t have the space for, or can’t afford. Borrow DIY tools, gardening implements, household items, and much more for a very low fee.

How much does it cost?

Membership is free, but there is a small charge per-week or per-month to borrow items. The exact cost varies between items, but we try to strike a balance between things being affordable and keeping the project going.

How do I join?

You can sign up for an account quickly online. You’ll then just need to bring in some photo ID when you borrow your first item. Alternatively, you can pop in and we can sign you up quickly and easily in person.

How long can I borrow things for?

Most items can be borrowed for a week at a time (or multiples of a week). Some items, like books can be borrowed for longer, by the month. If you’re still using an item, then you can easily renew your loan through the website.

How do I collect things?

We’re open every Friday 5–7pm in the Llanfyllin Library Building. If you can’t make it for any reason, then it might be possible to arrange another time or location, or possibly drop the item off to you. Get in touch and we’ll see what we can do!
